Smart Relays with Simple No-Code Logic
Remote Relays | Ethernet / Network Relays | WiFi Relays | Cellular Relays | Peer-to-Peer Communication
Ethernet-capable smart relays designed to be extremely reliable for monitoring and control of industrial equipment. We feature a variety of I/O products, such as the original WebRelay™, a networked relay with one digital input and one relay originally developed in 2005. Since then, we’ve been making top-of-the-line products for industrial automation, data collection, and device monitoring.
Many of our products include various inputs and outputs such as relays, digital inputs, analog inputs, 1-Wire bus for monitoring temperature and humidity, etc. that can be used with our built-in software to remote control/monitor electrical devices. Our latest (400 Series) I/O products support email notifications, scheduling, logging, BASIC interpreter, communication with a variety of protocols—including MQTT and Modbus—and many more features. Each features a truly Open API, ready to integrate with any industrial system.
Browser-Based User Interface
Our products have a built-in web server that allows I/O to be monitored or controlled with a standard web browser. No software needed.
Simple No-Code Programmable Logic
Each of our latest IoT controllers (400 Series) feature an easy-to-use user interface with drop down menus to build conditional and scheduled events. The menu system lets you build impressively powerful if/then logical events. These smart relays are capable of many monitoring and control tasks in industrial settings.
Integration Ready
Our smart relays are ready to integrate with your system. They feature an open API (HTTP) as well as popular, open industrial protocols such as MQTT (regular and Sparkplug B) and Modbus TCP/IP. You won’t find any walled gardens here.
ControlByWeb Cloud Compatible
We’ve made remote access and control even easier with the ControlByWeb Cloud. Enjoy easier access, cloud-based logging, dashboards, reports, and optional parent/child accounts. For more information, visit our cloud page.
Note: Our IoT controllers do not require connection to our cloud service, which is important to us. There are no forced subscriptions to worry about. The controllers will work with any cloud system through our open API, or through our very own cloud API.

Relay FAQs
Yes. All ControlByWeb devices include a built-in web server for direct, secure control. No cloud, subscriptions, or third-party platforms required.
ControlByWeb offers both SPDT (Single Pole Double Throw) and SPST (Single Pole Single Throw) relay contacts, depending on the model. SPDT relays provide both Normally Open and Normally Closed terminals for flexible wiring.
Some modules (like the X-410) share a common terminal across all relays, while others have isolated contacts for each relay, allowing completely separate circuits. Refer to the module’s datasheet for specifics.
Internal relays are rated for low voltage switching. To control larger loads (like motors or HVAC units), use the relay to trigger an external interposing relay or contactor.
You can control relays manually or automate them based on sensors, timers, schedules, or custom logic using our built-in interface or Task Builder.
Yes, you can configure relays to retain their last state, power up in a defined state (ON/OFF), or follow logic upon reboot.
Absolutely. All relay modules support remote control via Modbus/TCP, SNMP, and HTTP/HTTPS APIs, making them easy to integrate with SCADA or third-party systems.
